LO2: Report

 The introduction of globalisation and new technologies have changed the market place so that media companies have to use more below the line marketing methods to ensure they reach their target audience. The companies use Web 3.0 and also schematic technologies to recommend products you would see an interest in. The web does this by creating an algorithm based on your recent searches. Examples of websites that use this algorithm could be, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Google. A Web 3.0 environment is the best thing that could have happened to marketers as it allows them to give targeted ads for example if people search up computer or portable gaming devices we could show our product as it a compact gaming computer now due to this product not being out yet more people will see the advert when a new game is released I would advertise how my product supports the game and will run benchmark score and share them online for people to see.

Social media is the new media sector, the term social media refers to technologies, different platforms and services provided by companies. The internet has always allowed people to communicate online the social media sector only started to emerge in the early 2000s with the rise of web 2.0 sites that aimed to be user-focused, decentralised  and able to change over time as users modified them through ongoing participation. With this, conglomerates have used social media to market their brand and communicate directly with their target audience. By creating these accounts they ensure they have a space that they can use below the line marketing methods so that they can market new products directly to their target audience. 

As new video games are releases and new software update my product will need to learn how to be compatible but because the screen is small I will allow the portable computer to be able to connect to a bigger display and I will allow a keyboard and mouse to be connected as well so that it can be used as a regular computer if wanted. Companies such as Microsoft have made the OS a lot more of a heavy load so  the option to use any os will be give but windows 10 pro will be the stock option but people will be able to use other OS such as Linux if they want so the product does get less performance at idle. 

The development for game companies is rather drastic compared to the 90s because of the technological leaps made in 30 years is astronomical because they came from 8bit 2d games to fully 3d games with graphics that look incredibly realistic although it cost more to be able to play the Triple A titles the facts that the option is there is revolutionary as even just back to 15 years graphics were not good such as games in GTA San Andreas the major leaps in graphics and realism coming to the gaming world was around 10 years ago with the release of GTA 5 around this time games started to get harder to run and were in need of consoles/PC that required more power to run and this how they developed to allow people to have access to the highest quality of gaming possible.

Job Roles :

For my product I would need a graphic designer could be really useful on design the actual product for example the screen and controls and all the design aspects of the actual console the graphics designer could ask design the GUI for the setting and controls the graphics designer would also design all the store and profile apps the graphics designer would design 

A Coder would be good to implement the controls and code all the features such as custom configurations and custom effects to customise their console and give them the freedom of choosing the own OS the coder would also make sure that all ports work as needs so that a mouse keyboard and monitors ports work and work correctly and all buttons work correctly, the coder will also make it so people can make custom controls the coder would also have to create our online store we would create a custom store to compete with the likes of Steam and Epic games stores.

A Marketing Manager could be one of the most useful roles as they will help advertise the product and bring it to an audience that could be interested in portable Pc gaming. The marketing manager will also be vital in launching the product to the public. Throughout pre-production they will keep a close eye on the product and manage all the background problems allowing other job roles to crack on with the work.  We will use below the line advertising methods such as targeted adverts, joint ventures, and sponsoring twitch streamer and gamers.

A Tech Project manager will be quite important as they hold everything together and lead everyone throughout pre-production. Along with this, it is also advisable to ensure that the candidate has good leadership skills. Comprehending the clients’ needs and the company is a priority, so understanding is also expected. 

I will need a dock developer to make sure that everything with the dock works correctly and doesn't have any issue that could cause people not to purchase our product they will ensure that all the software needed to keep the dock working and functional.

Finally I will need a product developer this person would make sure that the design is as ergonomic as possible and won't cause any type of fatigue this person would also work with the manufacturers to make sure everyone component fits and it perfect.
